Ex- National Football League player Antonio Brown is traveling to Miami to address an murder attempt allegation stemming from a shooting that occurred in May, with his attorney entering a not guilty declaration on his behalf.

Jail logs in Essex County, New Jersey, reveal that Brown was freed on Tuesday early for his transfer to the state of Florida. Brown, a highly popular players in the National Football League, had relinquished transfer to Florida from New Jersey, in which he was taken after being apprehended in Dubai.

Brown’s lawyer, Mark Eiglarsh, stated in an message that he has already filed a written innocent declaration to the attempted murder accusation. Brown could be in a Miami courtroom as soon as Wednesday early for a bail hearing, Eiglarsh stated.

According to his apprehension document, Brown is accused of grabbing a pistol from a protection guard after a celebrity match event in May and firing multiple bullets at a man he had clashed with earlier. The claimed individual, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, told investigators that one shot scraped his neck.

Eiglarsh said that Brown was merely protecting himself from Nantambu.

“The actions he was obliged to take were exclusively in defense against the alleged individual’s aggressive conduct. Brown was targeted that time and responded within his rightful right to safeguard himself,” Eiglarsh commented.
