Thomas Tuchel expressed his disappointment that the England team did not enjoy more backing from the Wembley fans during their commanding 3-0 friendly victory on Thursday night.

The manager was happy to see his side maintain their good form, with goals from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Saka inside the first 20 minutes settling the game. But, he was not content with the energy at the iconic venue.

“We had one and a half training days to prepare against a organized team and we excelled,” Tuchel commented. “It could have been 5-0 up at half-time. We missed the fourth and fifth ones. The stadium was silent. There was no any energy from the crowd. We did everything to win.”

“What more can you deliver in the first quarter? We prevented them escape. If you hear just the Welsh supporters for 30 minutes, it’s regrettable because the team earned more support today.”

“I support this statement. There’s nothing more than leading 3-0 in a rivalry match. I hoped for a little more backing in phases where it is challenging.”

The Wales manager expressed hope that Wales, who face Belgium in a crucial World Cup qualifier on next week, learn from their disappointing performance in the opening period.
